Can hummingbirds deliver the mail? Ask the postmaster of the Vuyana Post Office and the answer is yes.
In Vuyana a small flock of four hummingbirds, each holding a corner of a piece of mail fly in unison.
They are rewarded with half a penny each as pay for each delivery....which is a lot to a hummingbird, who can buy a body's weight of red pollen from the bougainvillea bush for that amount.
