Fantasy Stamps from the Continent of Amphora
CINDERELLA STAMPS FROM THE AMPHORAN POST OFFICE

These stamps show images of my Sea Horse Sculptures in clay.
Most of the items shown are from ceramic beads used in necklaces.
A few of the sea horses are larger scultptures for showing on a wall
or near a pool of water.

These stamps are used only by the mermaids who live in Amphora.
Their mermail system operates under the auspices of the Amphoran
Postal Union.

Amphora is the ancient name for the sign of Aquarius. So the land of
Amphora is the continent of the Age of Aquarius.

The Sacred Rock of the Sea Horses

This rock is near the city of Hippocampus in the far north of the land
of Amphora. The photo was taken by Eric Whollem, the creator of
the ceramic sea horse sculpture in the upper left hand corner.

A small cameo of the Queen of Amphora in her fine black hat is to the
upper right. She leads the ceremonies each summer at the site of the
Sacred Rock of the Sea Horses worshipped by the Mermaids of
Amphora.

This rock may have been carved by the wash of the waves of the sea
on  the limestone rocks of the Amphoran coast. But the mermaids all
believe that it was carved by Voltumna, the God of the Sea Horses.

The Merfairyfolk of the Vale of Blossoms

The Merfairies are well known by devoted estoericists of the
mermaid phenomenon. Mermaids are depicted with wings in
many artistic renderings.

There are a number of well-known mythic references to the
fairy flies. The dracs of France are an order of river Naiad,
said to be linked to the dragonflies.

The damsel flies are one of the most intriguing insects of the
dragonfly order. They live in waterfalls and are intrepid
swimmers as well as fliers, dodging in and out of the raging
falls where they love to have their home.

The Indonesians depict their mermaids with wings as well as
fish tails. Some Celtic artists give their mermaids wings.

My art above shows two merfairies seated on a flower blossom.
They are not winged yet, being in the chrysalis stage of their
fairy existence. They have third eyes, better to see in the other
dimension where they have their being. These fairies are Naiads,
or spirits of the springs. They are Undines, or denizens of the
watery element.
