An Imaginative Reconstruction of the Lore of the

The concept of the Sylph was first created by the alchemist,

Paracelsus. The concept has been modified over the years to

represent a form of fairy life, that of the 'air spirits,' though

some thinkers on the subject of fairies relate the Sylphs to

mental or 'fire spirits.'
