An Imaginative Reconstruction of the Lore of the
Lost Continent of Lemuria
MT. SHASTA FOLKLORE
The concept of the Sylph was first created by the alchemist,
Paracelsus. The concept has been modified over the years to
represent a form of fairy life, that of the 'air spirits,' though
some thinkers on the subject of fairies relate the Sylphs to
mental or 'fire spirits.'
I have written a book on Lemuria, which is now out of print.
It was in part a 'stamp book,' containing protectively mounted
signed and numbered copies of stamps from Lemuria, created
by myself.

LEMURIANS
Many metaphysical people--from Mt. Shasta especially--take the
subject of the Lemurians very seriously. I hope that my presentation
does not impinge upon anyone's sensitivities. Perhaps most people
would rather see all this as an imaginative fairy tale. And indeed
much of this material is completely fictional. But even works of
fiction can relay truths that cannot be relayed by conventional
thought.
Helene Blavatsky, the Russian Theosophist, was the first person
to popularize the concept of a forgotten race of people, referred
to as the Lemurians. Lemuria is styled as a lost continent of the
Pacific or of the Indian Ocean, a kindred concept to that of the
lost continent of Atlantis.
My map of the lost continent of Lemuria shows that portion of
Lemuria that existed in ancient northern California.

I used to live up near Mt. Shasta when I was a little boy; and I have utilized earths gathered
at Mt. Shasta as pigments for paints for my paintings and sculptures in my adult years.
