The Oracle of Delphi
A CINDERELLA STAMP FROM AMPHORA
The Pythoness or Pythia is the designation of the
ancient Greek oracular priestess of Delphi. This
fantasy stamp from my micronation of Amphora
depicts a bas relief sculpture of the priestess in her
prophetic ecstasy.
Behind her one can see the tripod, a symbol of the
Eleusinean mysteries.
