Nammu, the Mesopotamian Sea Goddess
A CINDERELLA STAMP FROM AMPHORA
The sculpture on this stamp appeared in an earlier post
on this blog. She is a mermaid Goddess, related to the
Nommo of the Dogon. See my post of February 11, 2010.
The border design on this and most other stamps from my
micronation of Amphora were created on an 80's word
processor, which utilized huge Dos system pixels, which
had to be laid out into the design laboriously one at a time.
The machine did not print in color. So I printed on colored
paper stock.
The final stamp layout was accomplished by pasteup with
a photograph of the sculpture. Thus this properly is not
modern computer art design.
