LOCAL POSTS OF MINNEMER
Minnemer, an independent Mermaid Kingdom found in Northeastern Amphora, has not only regular postal issues for the nation, but a large variety of local post stamp issues. These local posts in include the Hotel Courier stamps of the Lake Rooh region. Among the hotels issuing stamps are Siren's Lair Hotel. The Lake Rooh Despatch issues stamps for the lake region.
Hotel Courier stamps were first developed in Switzerland. The customers at various lodges are allowed to frank their mail with stamps which pay for having their letters delivered to the local government post offices, where they are then sent out to the intended final destination.
The Salt Head City Post, established at Salt Bay, has issued it's local post stamps for many years now.

THE RHYS LOCAL POST
The Isle of Annwyn (also spelled Anwyn) is a semi-autonomous region of Minnemer. It is found in the Bay of Branwen. Rhys, the capital city issues stamps which are honored by the post offices of Minnemer, and also by most member states of the Amphoran Postal Union.

REGULAR ISSUES OF THE MINNEMER POSTAL SERVICE
Minnemer, being a nation of mermaids, sailors, sea combers, retired admirals and sea captains and eccentric aquatically oriented hermits, has been issuing stamps perceptible to normative humans for a few years now. Prior to these issues mail was considered too dry and physical to be of any concern to mermaids; but with the passing of the years it was decided that messages needed to be sent to the dryer cousins of the merfolk, to keep up appearances in the modern world.
The covers and stamps below show the output of the federal post office.
The Bureau of Mermaid Affairs has contributed much to this aquatic outreach endeavor.

STAMP EXPOSITIONS AND PHILATELIC MAIL OF MINNEMER
As part of Minnemer's diplomatic relationships with other nations, a variety of stamp exhibits have been created to help develop tourism in Minnemer. Despite unfounded fears generated by myths of the dangers of Sirens, especially those of the inland lakes, the coastal mermaids of Minnemer are eager to develop trade and commerce with outlander peoples.
It has been falsely said that Allysia Rooh, who appears on the local posts of the Rooh Lakes region is an immortal who has been operating illicit taverns and inns for four hundred years or so.....since the Elizabethan Era.
But the Minnemer Maritime Authority tells us in their memos that mysterious disappearances of customers from Siren's Lair Hotel could easily be seen as the result of activities of Amphitritonian pirates or renegade incursions from isles off the coast of Nereidia.
The Minnemer Royal Philatelic Agency assures terrestrial outlanders that the stamps of Minnemer are honest paraphilatelic creations, free of piratic or other undesirable affiliations, being the products of Minnemer's benign Mermaid graphic industry.
