EARLY SCIENTISTS RECOGNIZED THE LEMURIAN LAND BRIDGE

Etienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire and Philip Slater were two 19th century anthropologists, who upon studying the animal life of Madagascar, recognized a connection between Africa and India. They posited a land bridge.

The lemurs of Madagascar have close relatives in India.
