THE UTARA REGIONAL DESPATCH
Utara is a city in the far north of Alaya. The stamp cover above is franked with a regular issue of the Alayan Post Office out of Utti. But the Utara Regional Despatch stamp was applied by a local courier service which was officially established for the mails intended for the Chamber of Commerce.
Deoicted on the Utara cancellation is Skalky Tetdob, a reknowned mountaineer of the northern mountains, who later became the postmaster of Utara in his old age.
The Coat of Arms of Alaya appears on the Utti cancellation, the dual mermaids symbolizing the friendship of Alaya with the Federal District of Amphora, the seat of the Amphoran Empire of which Alaya is a part.
Mt. Krater is the largest mountain in Alaya. It is an active volcano.

The above stamp was reproduced in the upper right hand corner of the Alayan Tourism issue of 2017. It depicts an ancient indigenous inhabitant of the mountains of Alaya.
