The map below shows the routes followed by Scarabeus Binkel to the Barbaru Coast. Binkel, famous explorer known for his exploits in these dangerous waters, ventured south of his headquarters at Binkel's Landing, in what came to be known as The Barbaru Frie Stajt, to the unknown city of Vu in what Binkel called Binklish Vuyana. Vu, capital of Vuyana is located on the Sea of Glass, a body of water feared by sailors, as the perpetual doldrums, wherein the winds failed to blow for many days, was known to bring many a vessel to ruin. Thus Vuyana has remained unknown to the Outer World for centuries.
Scarabeus Binkel, hurriedly created these crude stamps for a letter to Thomas Blood. His regular perforating tools were left in camp at Binkel's Landing. And his cancellation devices were left behind as well. So he had to make do with what he had on hand, a old typesetter and inks made from the distillation of tar, gathered from his ship's hold. Seen on the regular issue is an image of Binkel's ship, the Flower of June.

THE BEGINNINGS OF THE BINKLISH EAST
MERREMINDE COMPANY
Scarabeus Binkel, who hailed from Binkel County in Western Amphora, always longed to explore the unknown reaches of Eastern Amphora. He set up three colonies along the Barbaru Coast: the Barbaru Frie Stajt, Binkish Vuyana, and lastly, arriving in the territory of Merreminde, claimed the southern part as his own, as the cities he found were mysteriously vacant. All the people were gone. This made his operations easy. He called this new land East Merreminde and his expeditionary operartions, the Binklish East Merreminde Company.
His first mate, Jack John, commented that he had established a new Empire. Binkel dubbed his holdings as the Binklish Empire and set himself up as Emperor of his new domains.
The letter below is a rare cover that remains from this relatively unknown period of history. LOL
Seen here is the use of Parrot Post delivery stamps. Binkel had trained his parrot to carry his letters.
There have been pigeon posts in history....our of places such as New Zealand and the isle of Herm, in Britain. So the use of bird couriers is not unknown. It is believed that the Amphoran region also was known for Boobie Bird Courier services out of the Isle of Buto, and also Goose Courier mail out of Amorphagos. Binkel may or may not have heard of these bird courier services. He was operating out of immediate necessity.
Binkel's pet parrot he named after himself, 'Binkel.' This is said to help preserve his 'modesty' when it came to place names among his discoveries. LOL
