A Short History of the Stamps of Doggonia
The early stamps of Doggonia above, featuring the Dogs of Doggonia,
were gummed and hand perforated with a die cutter. They are thus
different than the Cartographic Centennial issue of 2010, which are
techinically 'cyberstamps,' or stamps issued only in cyberspace.

Thus Doggonia has had three stamp issues to date. The map of Doggonia
shows Felinia, a neighboring warlike country. Mowmow is the capital of
Felinia. Also appearing on the Map of Doggonia is the Isle of Meese to
the south, across the Straights of Pup. The Isle of Meese is an independent
principality, which has traditionally been a neutral state in the disputes
between Doggonia and Felinia. The main thing currently under dispute is
the name of the war between these nations. The Doggonians call them the
Kat Wars, while the Felinians call it the Dog Fight. The inhabitants of
Felinia have attempted to erect a Caterwall on the boundaries between
these warring nations. But the Dog Soldiers have been able to easily dig
under the wall especially in the sandy soil near Bonebury Bay.
