STAMPS FEATURING THE MAP TO SHAMBHALA NOR
This sheet of eight cyberstamps commemorates Eric Whollem's
new Map to Shambhala Nor, which was previously posted on this
blog.
Depicted on these artist stamps is that portion of the map that
represents Uttarakuru, which means 'The Land of the North.'
This name is Sanskrit. It relates to the Shambhala mystery,
Shambhala being the mystic realm of inner illumination, often
viewed as a lost region in Central Asia.
Maps to Shambhala have been created over the centuries, beginning
with square mandalas created by the Bon Po, the shamanic
precursors of the Buddhists in Tibet.
