A VISION OF CENTRAL ASIA

Music has great influential power.

I painted this work listening to Central Asian folk music. The blue
mountains in the background are reminiscent of the color of mountains
as is commonly rendered in Persian miniatures.

If the reader will check out my Blogger Profile, he can see that the
music of Central Asia is one of my great interests. The ancient
Persians always said that the land of the Peris was to the north of
Persia. The Peris are the fairies that appear in European lore.

THE LORE OF THE MYSTERIES OF THE NORTH

The Tibetans also regarded the mystic lands to the north as the
location of Shambhala, a hidden land of enlightenment.

The north pole was sacred to the Egyptians as the location of the Tuat
and the Heavenly Nile. The pole was a great fish.

In India the Race of Dhruva came from the northpole, which was
marked by the constellation of Sisumara, the Porpoise.

The north pole is the Crown Chakra of the earth.
