GODDESS ART ON THE STAMPS OF AMPHORA

Shakti is a Sanskrit word meaning "goddess energy."

This is variously typified as nature, will, Maya, creative
force, imagination, etc.

The sculpture seen on this stamp is pigmented with
earth paints from Mt. Shasta, California.

In the stamp's border design are a number of crabs. The
crab is sacred to Atargatis, the dolphin goddess, and her
husband, The Sea Ram.
