THE BIRTH OF EUBIA

Eubia, the legendary namesake of Grot Eubia, was a fay who was born in a grotto on Kel's Peak in the desert region in the center of the country. When she grew up she spoke in riddles to those who approached the spring in her cave.

The cachet above has an example of the ancient Eubiaan language, not easily translated today, as Google Translate does not specialize in the rare extinct languages of West Merreminde.

In later times, after the Saxon invasion, a form of the English language took root in Grot Eubia. LOL

THE ROYAL SKUNKS OF QUACKADOO

During one of Emperor Agnominon's many hunting expeditions, he befriended a very dignified skunk, which took to the Emperor. The Emperor liked the skunk as well.

To make a long story short, Agnominon introduced the skunk to his wife; and she immediately agreed to setting up a Zoo in Quackadoo.

The offspring of this skunk and it's wife today populate the Zoo to the delight of the children of Grot Eubia today.

It is said that a special oil developed by Royal Skunk Keepers, have helped the Quackadoo Guard in repelling invaders from the country to this day. LOL

THE HISTORY OF ROCKET MAIL IN GROT EUBIA

During the late 19th century pioneering rocket scientists, Mr. Mortimer Squiggly and Sir Tubby Remo, worked on experimental rockets....It was in 1937, the practical application of their endeavors took fruit with the development of their Aerotorpedo, used for the rapid delivery of mail. LOL

The first launch of the Aerotorpedo took place in Duke Town. The rocket was sent to Robber's Roost.

This cover represents a reenactment of the original rocket flight, on the 80th anniversary of the original flight.

The cryptic hand cancel on the cover above, which reads 'Copped in the Roost' means in Eubiaan dialect, 'received in Robber's Roost.' LOL
