Cantharidian Faux Postage Stamps
Cantharidia is an island realm, conceived in Imagination. It is the
kingdom of my Muse, who appears in numerous forms in my art.
On these faux postage stamps from Cantharidia she is a Fairy
Goddess who espouses the protection of our planet's butterflies.
Human ignorance has allowed the proliferation of toxic residues
and insecticides that endanger not only insect species, but we
humans ourselves, whose food relies on regular pollination of our
crops.
