The Chalice of the Goddess

The book, 'The Chalice and the Blade,' by Riane Eisler influenced many
people back in the 1980's. Ms. Eisler created the concept of a 'partnership
society' where men and women would work in harmony. Her book outlined
the depredations of invasions by patriarchal tribal groups, who disturbed
an idyllic agrarain matriarchy in Eastern Europe.

The 'Chalice' was taken as a symbol of the womb concept.

This stamp is a tribute to the Eternal Feminine.
