The Delphys Post Celebrates
ALCHEMICAL SYMBOLISM

This stamp depicts an alchemical rendition of Pegasus,
mounted by the Cantharidian Rider.

The general purport of this stamp is to evoke the
Magnum Opus, or "Great Work," referring to
the goal of alchemy.

The Cantharidian Rider comes forth to give
advance notice of the grounds for cultivation of
the Principia Materia.

The cantharides are beetles utilized in the preparation
of medicinal stimulants.

The reader is encouraged to view the works of Carl
Jung, especially his Psychology and Alchemy, for
in depth interpretations of the terms briefly
outlined here.
