HOW THE CITY OF THE MOON CAME TO THE AID OF SCARABEUS BINKEL

After Scarabeus Binkel was arrested in Southern Digbyland for unplugging his radio in the New Digby Hotel, his old friends from the City of the Moon began plans to rescue him from prison. In Southern Digbyland everyone was required to listen every day to Ned Digby's Radio Talk Show. The Digby Brothers had taken over Barbaru Frie Stajt, Binkel's original colony and even brought in an oil company which despoiled the pristine waters of Binkel's Bay. Thus you can see that his arrest was a move to silence him, as he was Emperor of Barbaru.

The semi-postal stamps you see here were used to raise funds for a 'Grog Relief Mission,' which was a 'covert Op' for the City of the Moon, who used agents disguising themselves as the Friends of the Nedtown Prison Guard Union. They used their rocket planes to deliver packages of Grog to the guards.

It was theorized that the Grog would numb the guards, or at least make them amenable, so that a rescue team could get Scarabeus free from jail.

This stamp was designed as subtle propaganda, showing Scarabeus as a pilot in their Air Force. In fact (LOL), Scarabeus had many honors in the City of the Moon. He was head of their Academy of Science, having stayed in the country for 200 years during a peculiar time warp that passed as seeming days to people in other regions. He had become a General in the Loonezzi Air Force of the City of the Moon, as well as Postmaster General, a great honor.
