A Map of Amphitritonia

This stamp features a map of the Kingdom of Amphitritonia,
which lies in the northwest of the Continent of Amphora. Ichthys,
Ceto and Myrhha are the main cities of Amphitritonia. Mt. Krater
is a dormant volcano that towers over the landscape.

'The Lotus Pool' depicts a Naiad, or freshwater mermaid. The Naiads
are prophetic spirits of pools, wells, rivers and waterfalls. They are
very beneficent. In the lore of many nations they are considered to
be able to grant blessings to the crops. Many Naiads dwell at hot
springs, where they function as healers.

The dragonfly seen in the image on this stamp is related to the Naiads.
In France, for example, the riverspirits are called Dracs, and are
depicted with the wings of dragonflies. The dragonfly is a shape shifter
who can travel interdimensionally.
