A Sheet of Fairy Faux Postage Stamps
These stamps depict the good fairy Timberlina as she is going off for
work in the morning. Being a Fairy Queen has it's duties. Today she
must sit for yet another portrait in oils. Yesterday the carvers in marble
needed her for the whole afternoon.
Timberlina's main respite are the comforting hours she spends working
on her stamp collection.
This issue from the art of Eric Whollem has incorporated a bit of Russian
Fairytale Art illustration. The border design elements are very Russian,
yet transmuted through the focus of Constructivism.
