PHYLOS, THE TIBETAN,
A SHASTA FOLK FIGURE

This stamp features Phylos, a main character in the 19th
century metaphysical novel,  A Dweller on Two Planets.

This work dealt with subjects like Atlantis and showed
"flying saucers" in illustrations that predated by many decades
any interest in UFOs.

This book is believed by many to be a channeled work.
It is full of spiritual wisdom.

Castle Crags, in the background of the stamp, are a
geological formation a few miles from Mt. Shasta.

The image of Phylos is a profile rendered in ceramic
sculpture by the artist.
