A Painterly Use of Digital Technology

Works like August Bower recall the Postimpressionists and the Fauves who
enjoyed building up the surface of a painting with layered brush strokes.

The open color allows the viewer the freedom to dissociate his aesthetic reaction
from linear content.

The Muse is depicted with three birds who walk unrestricted by gravity.
